OwedView — wholesale

Every invoice aged against its own due date.

Nothing to tag, nothing to export, nothing changed in your store. OwedView reads the orders you already placed on payment terms and shows what's outstanding, who's overdue, and by how long.

The OwedView report: £22,665.70 outstanding, £12,997.55 of it overdue, invoices aged into buckets, and a chase list.

Aged by invoice, not by order

One order can carry a deposit and a balance falling due weeks apart. OwedView ages each payment schedule against its own due date, so a part-paid order is never counted as wholly late or wholly fine.

A chase list, in order

Trade accounts ranked by what has actually fallen due and how long it has been sitting there — so the biggest balance doesn't jump the queue ahead of the oldest debt.

Honest about its own numbers

If your payment records are too sparse or too batched to support a confident figure, OwedView says so rather than showing you one anyway.

Everywhere else calls it “days late”. It usually isn't.

Shopify records a payment at the moment somebody marks the order paid — not when the money arrived. There is no field anywhere in Shopify that captures the date of the actual payment, and the mark-as-paid dialog never asks for one.

So every “average days late” figure you have ever seen in a receivables app is really true lateness plus however long it took someone to reconcile, with no way to separate the two. If you do your books in a Sunday-evening sitting, your customers look a week worse than they are.

OwedView measures that reconciliation lag, calls its metric days to record rather than days late, and tells you when your own data is too batched to draw conclusions from.

It won't flatter you, and it won't flatter your customers. That's the point.
